MOTHER’S DAY POEMS

Mother's Day Poem

When you were 1 year old, she fed you and bathed you.
– You thanked her by crying all the night.
When you were 2 years old, she taught you to walk.
– You thanked her by running away when she called.
When you were 3 years old, she made all your meals with love.
– You thanked her by tossing your plate on the floor.
When you were 4 years old, she gave you some crayons.
– You thanked her by coloring the dinning room table.

========================================

“A mother’s love, so pure and deep,
A bond that time will never sweep.
On this day, we honor you,
For all the love you always knew.”

========================================

“To the one who held me tight,
And taught me how to shine so bright,
A mother’s love is always near,
Forever cherished, year to year.”

========================================

“On Mother’s Day, we celebrate,
The love you give that’s truly great,
Through every smile and every tear,
Your endless love will always be near.”

========================================

“In your arms, I found my home,
A place to rest, a place to grow.
Thank you, Mom, for all you do,
Today, and always, we honor you.”

========================================

“With every hug, with every kiss,
A mother’s love is pure bliss.
On this day, we give you praise,
For the countless love in endless ways.”

Motivational Story

Cracked Pot

A water bearer in China had two large pots,
one hung on each end of a pole which he carried across his neck.
One of the pots had a crack in it,
and while the other pot was perfect
and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long walk
from the stream to the master’s house,
the cracked pot arrived only half full.
For a full two years this went on daily,
with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water in his master’s house.
Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments
perfect to the end for which it was made.

But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection,

and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do.

After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure,
it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream.
“I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you.”
Why?” asked the bearer. “What are you ashamed of?”
“I have been able, for these past two years, to deliver only half my load
because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your master’s house.
Because of my flaws, you have to do all of this work,
and you don’t get full value from your efforts,” the pot said.

The water bearer felt sorry for the old cracked pot,
and in his compassion he said,

“As we return to the master’s house,
I want you to notice the beautiful flowers along the path.”

Indeed, as they went up the hill, the old cracked pot took notice of the sun warming the beautiful wild flowers on the side of the path,
and this cheered it some.
But at the end of the trail,
it still felt bad because it had leaked out half its load,
and so again it apologized to the bearer for its failure.
The bearer said to the pot,
“Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of your path,
but not on the other pot’s side?
That’s because I have always known about your flaw,
and I took advantage of it.
I planted flower seeds on your side of the path,
and every day while we walk back from the stream, you’ve watered them.
For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate my master’s table.
Without you being just the way you are, he would not have this beauty to grace his house.”

“Every great story begins with a challenge—embrace yours, for it will shape the hero you’re meant to become.”

Time Management….

Time Management

Time Management
One day an expert in time management was speaking to a group of business students and, to drive home a point, used an illustration those students will never forget. As he stood in front of the group of high powered overachievers he said, “Okay, time for a quiz.” Then he pulled out a one-gallon, wide mouth mason jar, and set it on the table in front of him.

Then he produced about a dozen fist-sized rocks and carefully placed them, one at a time, into the jar. When the jar was filled to the top and no more rocks would fit inside, he asked, “Is this jar full?”Everyone in the class said, “Yes.”

Then he said, “Really?”

He reached under the table and pulled out a bucket of gravel. Then he dumped some gravel in and shook the jar causing pieces of gravel to work themselves down into the space between the big rocks.

Then he asked the group once more, “Is the jar full?”

By this time the class was on to him. “Probably not,” one of them answered.

“Good!” he replied.He reached under the table and brought out a bucket of sand. He started dumping the sand in the jar and it went into all of the spaces left between the rocks and the gravel. Once more he asked the question, “Is this jar full?”

“No!” the class shouted.

Once again he said, “Good.”

Then he grabbed a pitcher of water and began to pour it in until the jar was filled to the brim. Then he looked at the class and asked, “What is the point of this illustration?”

One eager beaver raised his hand and said, “The point is, no matter how full your schedule is, if you try really hard, you can always fit some more things in it!”

“No,” the speaker replied, “that’s not the point.The truth this illustration teaches us is: “If you don’t put the Big Rocks in first, you’ll never get them in at all.”

What are the ‘big rocks’ in your life? Time with your loved ones? Your faith, your education, your dreams? A worthy cause? Teaching or mentoring others? Remember to put these “BIG ROCKS” in first or you’ll never get them in at all. So tonight, or in the morning, when you are reflecting on this short story, ask yourself this question: What are the ‘Big Rocks’ in My Life?

Then, put those in your jar first.
Remember, I told u that we can take out time if we wantRemember, I told u that we can take out time if we want
